The original inspiration for this card was the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. I'm not sure if he carried a fan in the story, but I like to think that he had one at home. I am sure that he would find one very useful. I can see him fanning himself when he gets hot and bothered from all that rushing around. Some smelling salts would come in handy too.
The Rabbit With Fan print comes in two versions. A full length rabbit and a close up version. The close up version is darker and greener than the full length image. Please choose your preferred option from the drop down menu above.
This is a high quality digital (giclee) print taken from my original artwork. The original drawing was made using pencil and watercolour and collage.
The print will be window mounted, making the outside dimensions approx 8"x10"/20cm x 25cm. I cut the mounts to this size, so it is easy for you to buy ready made, off-the-shelf frames in this size, therefore cutting framing costs. I do use thick mount card, so the recess of the frame should be quite deep.
Frames are not included with the print.
I print all my own images, using Epson pigment inks onto Epson Archival paper. I then window mount them, using Daler cream mountboard and attach a backboard using the same card. When you order a print, all the watermarks will be removed. Each print is signed and has a hand written title underneath the image.
POSTAGE AND PACKING
Your print will be sent to you by Royal Mail first class post, for UK customers and by Standard Airmail for overseas customers. It will be placed in a cello bag which will then be packed with stiff card and put in a bubble wrap envelope. I do try and use recycled card for packaging where I can.
For the best care of prints, you should ideally frame them behind glass and keep them out of direct sunlight. This goes for all types of artwork, not just digital prints. I use pigment based inks on archival paper, so the prints I sell on my website should be very long lasting. Any kind of artwork whether it is an oil painting, watercolour, photograph, print or collage, will gradually fade if exposed to sunlight, so do be careful where you choose to display your artwork.
