TUG OF LOVE I took the phrase, 'tug of war' and decided to put a twist on the original meaning. I have drawn two love birds building their home. Instead of pulling apart, they are pulling together, each holding one end of a long piece of grass and feathering their nest with it.
ARTWORK INFORMATION This is a high quality digital (giclee) print taken from my own artwork. The original artwork was drawn with pencil, ink and watercolours.
I print the image using pigment inks on archival paper. I then window mount the image and attach a backing board to the reverse of the print using Daler cream coloured card. The external dimensions of the mounted image measure 10"x 8". This is a standard size that will fit an off-the-shelf, ready made frame that you can buy in a style of your choosing. Having the print window mounted and ready to fit in a frame, makes framing your print very simple. It will also greatly reduce your framing costs if you were to have your print professionally framed. You will have a beautifully mounted and framed work, at a fraction of the cost.
*Please note that the black frame in the second photograph is not included with the print and mount.
**There may be a slight variation between the colour shown on your screen and the actual print, as individual computer screen colour settings can vary. I try and make the colour represented, as true as possible.
POSTAGE AND PACKING Your print will be sent to you via Royal Mail first class post for UK customers and by Standard Airmail for *overseas customers. Postage is free for orders sent by Royal Mail first class post in the UK and I try and keep postage and packaging charges as low as possible for my customers overseas. Your print will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper and packed with stiff card. It will be posted flat, in a bubble wrap envelope or reused bubble wrap and brown paper. I do try and use recycled packaging where I can. If you prefer a cello bag instead of tissue paper, please let me know when you place your order.
*For overseas customers, please check if you are liable for any customs or import charges in your country. I am really sorry, but I am unable to state anything other than the true value of goods on customs declarations. Thank you.
ARTWORK CARE For the best care of prints, you should ideally frame them behind glass and keep them out of direct sunlight. This goes for all types of artwork, not just digital prints. I use pigment based inks on archival paper, so the prints I sell on my website should be very long lasting. Any kind of artwork whether it is an oil painting, watercolour, photograph, print or collage, will gradually fade if exposed to sunlight, so do be careful where you choose to display your artwork.
All the artwork and designs are by Alodie Fielding and there is a copyright on all images.
